Built by an MSP. Not a venture-funded vendor.
Intelligent Automation, LLC has run managed services since 2013•, out of Fairfield, New Jersey. Argos OS is the platform we built to run our own company, and we still do.
Real names. If something on this site is wrong, one of them is accountable for it.
Most vendor about-pages in this category name nobody. You get a founding story with no founders, a photograph of an office, and a support address. We think you are entitled to know whose judgment you are buying, so here they are, with the part of the company each person answers for.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Intelligent Automation
Co-Founder, Argos OS
Cybersecurity Entrepreneur & Go-to-Market Strategist
I’ve been building technology companies for four decades. It started in 1985, in a dorm room at the University at Buffalo, where I rebuilt surplus and broken computers into working machines and sold desktops, printers, and peripherals to put myself through school. By 1990 I had founded MaxiMed, a healthcare-technology company where I served as president, integrating early electronic health-records systems for medical practices. I sold it in 1995 — and thirty years later, regulated healthcare data is still at the center of my work. My roots in security run nearly as deep: I was among the first 500 employees at McAfee, working in the field before the word “cybersecurity” existed.
Over the two decades that followed, I scaled enterprise technology companies across the country — as Canonical’s first enterprise sales leader in North America, and through Fortune 500 IT-outsourcing and digital-transformation engagements at CompuCom worth over $200M. My specialty was always the hardest early part: standing up go-to-market strategy, channel and alliance programs, and teams from zero. Today I also advise private-equity-backed technology firms as a fractional growth executive, driving go-to-market and revenue expansion across enterprise IT, managed services, and lifecycle businesses — work that keeps me fluent in how these companies actually scale.
As co-founder and CEO of Intelligent Automation — the NJ-based cybersecurity firm I founded in 2013 with partners Daniel Ramos and Victor Ramos — I bring that full arc to bear. I’m a deliberately hands-on founder: I set client strategy, run quarterly business reviews, serve as one of our virtual CxOs, deliver GRC and security consulting, and act as a senior technical escalation point when clients need one. Staying close to the actual work is how I keep both the practice and the platform honest.
My work spans
- Go-to-Market Strategy — GTM motion for startups, turnarounds, and platforms, from first customer to scale
- Channel & Partner Programs — alliance and channel development with global technology vendors and distribution
- Virtual CxO & GRC Consulting — vCISO/vCTO leadership, compliance program development, and security-strategy consulting for regulated clients
- Client Strategy & Delivery — quarterly business reviews, road mapping, and senior technical escalation
- Managed Security Services (MSSP) — building and leading the practice Argos was engineered inside
- Platform & Product Strategy — founder-level direction for Argos OS, our cryptographic trust and non-repudiation platform
Argos didn’t come out of a lab — it came out of our own practice. Running a managed security business, I kept seeing the same gap: firms in regulated industries needed cryptographic proof, not promises. So we built Argos inside Intelligent Automation and proved it on live clients first. Today I lead Argos OS as a platform for the MSP and channel community — extending that battle-tested foundation to partners nationwide.
Focus Areas
I hold a B.A. in Communications and Information Systems Management from the University at Buffalo (SUNY). I previously served on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s IT Industrial Advisory Committee (2007–2012), co-host the TechReact podcast, and stay active in the Warwick, New York community where I live with my family. 📩 Let’s connect — whether you’re protecting a business, building a channel program, or bringing a platform to market.
Chief Technology Officer, Intelligent Automation
Fractional CISO · Cybersecurity, GRC & AI Governance Consultant
My path into cybersecurity leadership started in telecommunications and network engineering, where I spent the better part of two decades designing, deploying, and supporting the voice and data infrastructure that businesses run on — enterprise networking, Cisco Unified Communications, and the LAN/WAN and wireless architectures (Meraki, Aruba) that carry it all. That foundation, built on keeping complex, always-on systems running reliably under real operational pressure, is what shaped how I think about security today: not as a bolt-on control, but as an extension of the network and infrastructure decisions made from day one.
As CTO of Intelligent Automation, I lead the strategic technology and security direction for clients across business, education, and local government. I also serve independently as a Virtual CISO and fractional CTO, bringing 20+ years of hands-on experience designing, securing, and managing enterprise technology environments to organizations that need executive-level security leadership without the cost of a full-time hire.
My work spans
- Virtual CISO (vCISO) — security strategy, risk management, and compliance leadership
- GRC Program Development — governance, risk & compliance frameworks tailored to NIST, CIS, HIPAA, and CMMC
- Cybersecurity Architecture & Assessments — endpoint detection & response, network security, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) — zero-trust architecture, access governance, and privileged access management
- Managed IT & MSSP Strategy — managed services environments that scale with the business
- AI Governance & Secure AI Adoption — usage policies, data classification, and guardrails for AI tools so PII, client, and regulated data stay protected while teams move fast
I don’t just advise on AI governance — I build under it. I’ve engineered production security and GRC applications through a collaborative AI development process, delivering a multi-tenant platform spanning service management, threat intelligence, identity, and compliance mapping across HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CMMC — with human-in-the-loop review and least-privilege data controls at every step.
Technology Expertise
A proud member of the InfraGard National Alliance, I actively contribute to safeguarding critical infrastructure. More than 25 years as an Emergency Medical Services volunteer has sharpened my ability to perform under pressure, lead in crisis, and protect what matters most. 📩 Let’s connect — whether you want to strengthen your security posture, build a compliance program, or explore what fractional CTO/CISO services could mean for your business.
Chief Financial Officer, Intelligent Automation
Raymond Lorenzana Jr. brings over two decades of senior financial leadership to Argos, with deep expertise spanning financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and enterprise-scale controls design. As Senior Group Controller at Jellyfish, he has grown the U.S. finance function from three to thirteen team members, led a balance sheet clean-up that identified $10-12M in account corrections, and cut the company’s internal audit cycle from four months to under two — all while implementing month-end close processes that reduced reporting errors by 15-20%.
Before Jellyfish, Raymond spent 18 years at VMLY&R, part of the WPP advertising network, rising to Vice President/Assistant Controller. There he restructured financial policies covering more than 250 SOX controls, streamlined month-end close by 20%, and helped the Shared Financial Services group earn a Top 5 ranking for consistent clean audit results across the VMLY&R North America network. His early career at VIP Community Services sharpened his command of regulatory compliance and multi-source funding management in the non-profit sector.
Raymond holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. Colleagues describe him as an “outstanding, focused, and diligent executive” whose “innovative problem-solving” and command of GAAP/IFRS financial controls have consistently strengthened the organizations he’s served. As Argos OS works to help organizations build resilient, secure technology environments in today’s cyber-driven economy, Raymond’s rigor in financial controls, audit governance, and enterprise-scale reporting brings a critical layer of fiscal discipline and trust to the executive team.
Chief Compliance Officer
I serve as Chief Compliance Officer at Intelligent Automation, where I provide executive leadership in designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide compliance and ethics programs that protect the organization, strengthen stakeholder trust, and enable sustainable growth. I partner closely with executive leadership, legal counsel, internal audit, cybersecurity, and business operations to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into strategic decision-making, while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
My approach to governance is rooted in a principle I’ve carried out since the earliest days of my career: knowing exactly who has access to what, and why. As an Identity Access Administrator at Rosetta Stone, I governed access across 13 enterprise systems for a workforce of over 2,000 — the kind of granular access control and audit discipline that today underpins regulatory frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST.
That same governance instinct now shapes how I build compliance frameworks at Intelligent Automation — assessing organizational risk, establishing internal controls, monitoring regulatory change, and advising executive leadership and the Board of Directors on emerging compliance risks and mitigation strategies. I lead enterprise risk assessments, direct regulatory examinations and internal audits, and prepare compliance reporting for senior leadership, all while championing a culture where compliance is treated as a driver of trust and business performance — not just a legal obligation.
My earlier career spans telecommunications, network security, and large-scale IT risk management, including work supporting Fortune 500-scale operations for organizations such as Deutsche Bank and Robert Wood Johnson. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies and a Master’s in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University.
I believe compliance is at its best when it’s a competitive advantage — creating an ethical, transparent, and resilient organization capable of navigating an increasingly complex regulatory landscape while supporting long-term growth. That’s the standard I bring to Intelligent Automation and to Argos OS every day.
We describe ourselves as an MCSP — a Managed Cybersecurity Service Provider•. It names the space between an MSP and an MSSP: we run the managed-services practice, and we manage our customers’ cybersecurity inside it — patching, identity, hardening, detection, and the evidence that proves all of it during an audit.
Now the disclaimer, because a term is worthless without one. No governing body issues MCSP. There is no exam, no accrediting board, no audit behind those four letters. We coined it to describe what we actually do, because the two existing labels each described a different company than ours. Read it as a job description, not a credential. It is not a certification, and nobody awarded it to us.
We are also not an MSSP, and we do not sell ourselves as one. We manage security. We do not staff a twenty-four-hour analyst floor, so we do not claim one.
That last row is worth saying out loud, since half this category is vague about it. Argos OS is hosted and operated by us. The standard arrangement is fully white-labeled — your brand on every screen your clients see. Argos Sovereign is the premium arrangement: a dedicated, isolated instance, still in our datacenter, still operated by us. There is no build you install on your own metal, and we are not going to imply there is.
What we do self-host is our own substrate — identity, source control, secrets and timestamping, across 84• repositories on hardware we answer for. That is us refusing to rent our own foundation, not an option we are offering you.
Every operational number we publish comes from one company: ours.
We lead with the least flattering fact we have, because you will find it anyway and it should come from us. Argos OS has no external customers. The soft launch is November 2026. Everything below was measured inside the MSP we run ourselves, and the scope column says so on every line.
| The record | Figure | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Argos OS customers today | 0• | Stated plainly |
| Client companies on our own MSP | 26• | Our own environment |
| Tickets resolved end to end | 1,301• | Our own environment |
| Operating as an MSP since | 2013• | Our own environment |
No customer scale is claimed anywhere on this site
Those numbers are small on purpose. We could have written a bigger one for the ticket line, and we have the receipts to feel entitled to it — but not the receipts to prove it.
Our real number is higher. We ran on SyncroMSP and Freshdesk before this, and that history didn’t come with us when we left. We can’t prove it, so we don’t count it.
That is not a rhetorical flourish. Years of our own ticket history — conversations with clients, the reasoning behind decisions, the paper trail an auditor would want — did not survive the migration out of two products we had paid for. Export formats that opened only in the product that wrote them. Attachments that came across as filenames pointing at nothing. We were the customer holding the empty box.
So one of the four pillars of this platform exists because of a wound, not a whiteboard. You own it. Argos exports everything, any day, at no cost, in formats you can open without us — tickets with their full thread, documentation, assets, contracts, audit records. Not a retention-desk favor, not a paid professional-services engagement, not a thirty-day window after you give notice. Any day, including the day you decide to leave.
We have been on the other side of that conversation. We are not going to hand you the box we were handed.
Own your stack. Make it talk to itself.
Don’t trust us. Check us.
